SHMS Beta Club Students Visit Senior Center

South Habersham Middle School Beta Club students recently brought joy and energy to the Habersham Senior Center through two engaging events that celebrated community, connection, and fun.

Eighth-grade students participated in a Sock Hop inspired by their novel study of The Outsiders, bringing the 1950s to life with music, dancing, and enthusiasm. Students danced alongside members of the Senior Center, creating smiles and lasting memories while connecting their classroom learning to a real-life experience.

Meanwhile, seventh-grade students joined in the holiday spirit by participating in a festive Christmas Dance. The students and seniors danced together to holiday classics, spreading cheer and building bridges across generations.

These events not only highlighted the students' hard work and learning in the classroom but also demonstrated the importance of community engagement. By spending time with the senior center members, the students brightened the day of others while creating meaningful connections and shared memories.

South Habersham Middle School is proud of its students for fostering relationships, showing respect for their elders, and bringing energy and kindness to the Habersham Senior Center.
