12th Annual Rebel Challenge

The 12th Annual Rebel Challenge took place on Friday, September 19, 2025, at South Habersham Middle School, drawing over 200 enthusiastic students. This exciting event features a series of obstacles designed to test endurance and teamwork as participants strive to cross the finish line. Throughout the challenge, students motivate and support one another, pushing their limits to conquer each part of the course. This year’s lineup of obstacles included the slip-and-slide, hay bale climb, tire flip, football throw, dizzy bat, trail run, water slide, and the mud pit crawl. Pictured are SHMS eighth grader Annaleigh Irvin and her younger brother, sixth grader Max Irvin, tackling the mud pit crawl—the final challenge in the course.

We extend heartfelt thanks to all the faculty, staff, and volunteers whose efforts made this event possible. Special gratitude goes to Jacky Addison, Justin Benfield, Turman Brown, Cordero Davis, NGAP Graphix, HandyMan Mora, Sydney Page, the South Habersham Agriculture classes, and Eddie Williams for their invaluable support. We also deeply appreciate the assistance provided by the Habersham County Fire Department, including Chief Dwight McNally, Lt. Jeff Parker, Lt. Brandon Fields, Kyle Cash, and Elijah Rotalsky. Lastly, a big thank you to all the parents and families who came out to cheer on our students. The SHMS students are grateful for your encouragement and for the unforgettable memories you helped create!
